NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) announces plans to unveil the new NICHE Portfolios Series at the 16th Annual NICHE Conference, April 10-12, 2013 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The series details each of the tools in the extensive portfolio of NICHE resources and curricula. Each of the 21 portfolios provides a resource overview, features and benefits, application, topics or supporting resources, and real-world innovations implemented by NICHE hospitals. The Portfolios Series can be viewed at: http://www.nicheprogram.org/niche_portfolio_series
The NICHE Portfolio Series is designed to help NICHE hospital nurses and health care professionals quickly and easily navigate the hundreds of online resources. NICHE resources enable hospital healthcare providers to become more knowledgeable about the special needs of older adult patients and implement, grow and sustain their individualized NICHE programs. NICHE hospitals have higher patient and family satisfaction rates and more positive patient outcomes.
The annual three-day NICHE Conference is a platform to share evidence-based innovations, research, and networking opportunities. The goal is to provide support to hospitals and other healthcare organizations in meeting the most critical challenge of our times - quality care of older adults. Information about the NICHE Conference can be found at http://conference2013.nicheprogram.org/
