NICHE recently announced the appointment of Linda A. D. Bub, MSN, RN, GCNS-BC, as director of education and program development. In this role, Bub, a nationally certified geriatric clinical nurse specialist, will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of the NICHE education tools/resources and programs. She will also direct the creation and execution of NICHE program practice initiatives and the mentorship program.

Prior to her new post, Bub was the director of senior health services for southeastern Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, Glendale, Wisconsin. In that position she led the implementation of geriatric care principles in hospitals actively participating in NICHE as well as facilitated steering committees that impacted the care of older adults and interdisciplinary practice across the care continuum. She has also worked as a geriatric clinical nurse specialist for the Visiting Nurse Association of Aurora Healthcare, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as well an intervention nurse for several National Institutes of Health-funded studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, Wisconsin. She received her BSN from Carroll University in 1993 and her MSN specializing in geriatrics from Marquette University in 2002. Bub is the recipient of the 2012 Innovation in Practice award from the National Gerontological Nurses Association.
