Two internationally known experts will grapple with the impact and potential of a pertinent worldwide poverty-fighting strategy.
What is the state of microfinance today? Please join Jonathan Morduch, professor of public policy and economics at the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and founder of the Financial Access Initiative (FAI), as he discusses this question on Wednesday, October 3rd with David Roodman, senior fellow at the Center for Global Development (CGD).

The two internationally recognized experts will discuss Roodman’s new book Due Diligence: An Impertinent Inquiry into Microfinance, which confronts important questions about the impact of microfinance and discusses how governments, foundations, and investors can best support financial services for the poor. Roodman’s ongoing work at CGD focuses on microfinance, debt relief, and aid effectiveness.
