NYU Steinhardt Hosts "Cloud Over the Campus: MOOCs, Online Degrees, and Other 21st Century Expectations," Nov. 29

EVENT:
E-learning and the credibility of Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) are some
of the most burning issues in education today -- and will shape the future. “Cloud
Over the Campus: MOOCs, Online Degrees, and Other 21st Century Expectations,” a
public forum hosted by The Steinhardt Institute for Higher Education
Policy
, explores the actual experience of taking a technology-enabled course.

During the spring of 2012, a leading educator threw aside her usual routines and
each became a“Phoenix.” After taking an online course at the University of
Phoenix, NYU Professor Catharine R. Stimpson will describe what she learned and
her surprises – both pleasant and unpleasant. Her very personal accounts could
become a platform for new perspectives about being a part of the 21st century
classroom.

WHEN:
Thursday, Nov. 29; 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

WHERE:
New York University School of Law
