To mark its official launch, Constitutional Transitions (the Center for Constitutional Transitions at the NYU School of Law) will host an academic symposium on Friday, March 30, 11a.m.–3:30p.m. at Filomen D'Agostino Hall (110 West Third Street), bringing together leading experts on Middle East constitutionalism to offer their reflections on constitutional developments in the region.

NYU Law Symposium: Constitutional Transitions in the Middle East—March 30

The Middle East and North Africa region is witnessing the greatest degree of political transformation and regime change in a generation.  Constitutional transitions of various forms are at the center of many these processes, in countries as diverse as Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, and Turkey.


To mark its official launch, Constitutional Transitions (the Center for Constitutional Transitions at the NYU School of Law) will host an academic symposium on Friday, March 30, 11a.m.–3:30p.m. at Filomen D'Agostino Hall (110 West Third Street), bringing together leading experts on Middle East constitutionalism to offer their reflections on constitutional developments in the region.

Concluding remarks will be offered by Justice Tehani El-Gebali, Vice-President of the Egyptian Supreme Constitutional Court and Hauser Distinguished Global Visitor, NYU School of Law.
