The Institute is now looking for multiple stellar industry professionals to teach undergraduate courses in music related areas, including History & Criticism, Music Journalism, Emerging Business and Technology, Entrepreneurship, Marketing & Development, Event performance, and Music Production. These positions would be for the fall 2012 term.
In May, New York University’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at the Tisch School of the Arts announced that with the gift of an additional $5 million from its namesake, Clive Davis, the newly elevated Institute would recruit additional working professionals as faculty, expand the size of the incoming freshman class from its original 25 students to 48, increase scholarships, and support programs to find the brightest young talent. Today that expansion is underway.
In recent days, the Institute awarded scholarships totaling $75,000 to a group of their neediest students. Last month, the Institute recently unveiled a third new state-of-the art production studio and teaching space located off campus in the Gramercy neighborhood of New York City, in accordance with plans to expand and increase enrollment. The new studio, scholarships, and additional faculty to be hired will accommodate additional students and help further realize the Institute’s ongoing expansion.
