The graduating seniors of the Department of Photography & Imaging in the Kanbar Institute of Film and Television at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts will be featured in an exhibit of selected works of their senior thesis projects at the Calumet Gallery in April.  Entitled Selections from Photography & Imaging BFA Exhibition, the show will open April 1 and remain on view through April 22, 2011.

Selections from Photography & Imaging BFA Exhibition will be on view at the Calumet Gallery at 22 West 22nd Street.  Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, and noon to 5p.m. Saturdays.  The exhibition is open to the public and admission is free.  Photo identification is required for access to the building.  For further information, visit photo.tisch.nyu.edu or calumetphoto.com.

The exhibition, comprising works selected from the students’ thesis projects, represents the visual and conceptual diversity of the department’s class of 2011.  The 38 graduates featured in the exhibition are: Sasha Arutyunova, Beryl Bevilacque, Anita Boyke, Daisy Briceño, Maryann Buchanan, Rachel Ceretto, Alinane Chikaonda, Jenna Chin, Peter Curtis, Charley Damski, Antonio Delgado, Lianna Del Pizzo, Michael George, Janice Gilman, Sage Grazer, Kathryn Greenbaum, Sam Heesen, Margaret Herre, Olivia Jade Horner, Emily Junker, Cameron Justice, Callie Klebanoff, David Macedo, Cristina Mañas, Angelica Marshall, Ryan Mellinger, Denis Nazarov, Kyle Newberry, Lupe Salinas, Samantha Schwendeman, Amalia Soto, Thomas Stigler, Mia Torres, Regis Trigano, Michelle Watt, Jonathan Weiner, Alison Wynn and Shalla Yudelevich.

The Department of Photography & Imaging at the Tisch School of the Arts is a four-year B.F.A. program centered on the making and understanding of images. Students explore photo-based imagery as personal and cultural expression. Situated within New York University, the program offers students both the intensive focus of an arts curriculum and a serious and broad grounding in the liberal arts.
