The New York University Creative Writing Program’s Spring 2011 Reading Series commences in January and February with events featuring Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Cunningham (January 27), Zadie Smith (February 2, RSVP required), and Walter Mosley (February 25). All events are held in the program’s Greenwich Village home, the Lillian Vernon Creative Writers House at 58 W. 10th Street, unless otherwise noted. Writers from the AIDS Service Center NYC (ASCNYC) writing workshop gather to read their poems in celebration of the group’s 10-year anniversary. ASCNYC is a non-profit organization at the forefront of the effort to ensure that all New Yorkers have access to HIV testing, treatment, and care. The event is co-sponsored by AIDS Service Center NYC.
