New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service presents the Right Honourable Gordon Brown, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, in dialogue with Professor Mitchell Moss about the role of cities in the wake of the 2008 global financial crisis.
The conversation—which is open to the press – will take place on Monday, April 11, at the NYU Kimmel Center, Room 905, 60 Washington Square South, New York, N.Y. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. The discussion begins promptly at 6:30 p.m.
Brown, Member of Parliament, is NYU’s inaugural Distinguished Global Leader in Residence. Moss is Henry Hart Rice Professor of Urban Policy & Planning at NYU Wagner, as well as the host of this yearly event – the Henry Hart Rice Forum.
In discussion with Professor Moss, the former Prime Minister will consider the state of the world since the worldwide economic crisis, what governments are doing to overcome it, and what cities can do to help.He will also discuss his recent book, Beyond the Crash, putting the topic in the context of current events.
