New York University and Manhattan Community Board 2 will host hundreds of children, moms, and dads at the 20th Annual Greenwich Village Children’s Halloween Parade. Led by the Lesbian and Gay Big Apple Corps. Marching Band, children and families will march around Washington Square Park. Following the parade, the children will be treated to candy, face-painting, rides and live entertainment, including a special performance by the NYC based children’s music band, Jeremy Plays Guitar.

WHAT: New York University and Manhattan Community Board 2 will host hundreds of children, moms, and dads at the 20th Annual Greenwich Village Children’s Halloween Parade. Led by the Lesbian and Gay Big Apple Corps. Marching Band, children and families will march around Washington Square Park. Following the parade, the children will be treated to candy, face-painting, rides and live entertainment, including a special performance by the NYC based children’s music band, Jeremy Plays Guitar.
The Grand Marshals for the parade will be:
· Council Member Margaret Chin, District 1
· David Spegal, partner of the parade’s founder, Arty Strickler
· The children of Judson Church
WHEN: Sunday, October 31, 2010; parade starts at 1:15 pm; marchers start gathering at 1:00 pm; festivities end at 4:00 pm
WHERE: The parade assembles along Washington Square North, near the Arch and ends at LaGuardia between Washington Square South and West 3rd Street where various activities await the children.

The parade provides very good, cute, daylight shots of kids in costumes parading around the park accompanied by parents. Good complement for coverage of the adult parade.
Jeremy Plays Guitar will perform followed by NYU students– including NYU music groups, cheerleaders, and dance teams – and assist with distributing treats.
