The New York University College of Nursing today announces the induction of faculty members, Wendy C. Bundin, PhD, RN-BC, Eloise Balasco Cathcart, MSN, RN and Ann E. Kurth, PhD, CNM, RN as US Fellows into the American Academy of Nursing (AAN). The US Fellows were formally inducted on November 13, 2010 at the Induction Ceremony in Washington, DC. Out of the 108 newly inducted US Fellows, six (6) received their degrees from NYU.

Wendy C. Budin is Director of Nursing Research at NYU Langone Medical Center and holds joint faculty appointments at NYU College of Nursing and Schools of Medicine. Dr. Budin’s sustained, significant and continuing contributions to nursing of women and childbearing families foster exemplary clinical practice and ground-breaking education, earning her a reputation as a national and international leader in prenatal education and breast cancer research.
Eloise Balasco Cathcart is Clinical Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Nursing Administration at the NYU College of Nursing. A major thread in Professor Cathcart’s career has been the interpretation and use of Patricia Benner’s model of practice articulation in clinical and administrative nursing practice, professional regulation and nursing education.
Ann E. Kurth is a Professor and Director of Global Health Initiatives at the NYU College of Nursing. Dr. Kurth started one of the first advanced practice nurse-managed HIV clinics in the US, and edited one of the first books published on women and HIV.
