Alec Baldwin to Be 2010 Commencement Speaker
WHAT: NYU’s 178th Commencement Exercises, with over 6,000 graduates and 20,000 guests
WHO: Addressing the Class of 2010 will be award-winning actor and NYU alumnus Alec Baldwin, who will receive a Doctor of Fine Arts degree, honoris causa, at the ceremony. Other honorary degree recipients will include:
· Robert Max Berdahl – educator and historian
· Ursula M. Burns – CEO of Xerox and an alumna of NYU-Poly
· Bill Drayton – social entrepreneur and CEO of Ashoka Global Headquarters
· Wayne Shorter – jazz saxophonist, composer, and NYU alum
· William Julius Wilson –renowned sociologist
WHERE: Yankee Stadium, The Bronx, New York
WHEN: Wednesday, May 12, 2010. Ceremony begins at 11:00
