The New York University College of Nursing celebrated the 5 year anniversary of its World Health Organization (W.H.O.) Collaborating Center with a symposium at the Manhattan Penthouse.
The New York University College of Nursing celebrated the 5 year anniversary of its World Health Organization (W.H.O.) Collaborating Center with a symposium at the Manhattan Penthouse.
Professor Madeline Naegle hosted the celebration along with faculty, students, community supporters, and representatives from the NYU and international communities. Serving as Director of the W.H.O. Collaborating Center, Professor Naegle is internationally known for contributions to addictions nursing, a subspecialty of psychiatric-mental health nursing.
“NYU College of Nursing is the only nursing Collaborating Center in aging which further validates our expertise and strong support of care of elders nationally and internationally,” says Dean Terry Fulmer, NYU College of Nursing. “Our faculty lead projects and programs that positively impact healthcare policy and nursing practice.”
Discussions, panels and speeches will center on topics such as improving the health of the elderly community, targeting healthcare needs of the elderly, and the displacement of elders.
