Sam Tanenhaus, the author of The Death of Conservatism, will deliver the 11th annual Irving H. The lecture will be followed by a roundtable discussion moderated by Pulitzer-Prize-winning historian David Oshinsky, The Jacob K. Javits Visiting Professor at NYU and a professor of history at the University of Texas at Austin. Panelists will include: Tanenhaus, editor of the New York Times “Book Review” and editor of the paper’s “Week in Review” section who is currently working on a biography of William F. Buckley Jr.; Ellen Schall, dean of NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and Martin Cherkasky Professor of Heath Policy and Management; and political consultant Bob Shrum, a senior fellow at the Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and author of No Excuses: Confessions of a Serial Campaigner.
