“Paris Review Fiction Salon”: André Aciman and Kenneth Calhoun
André Aciman is a memoirist, novelist, and essayist whose works include Call Me by Your Name, his debut novel; Out of Egypt, a memoir; and the recently published Eight White Knights. His story “Monsieur Kalashnikov” first appeared in The Paris Review. Kenneth Calhoun’s stories have appeared in Fence, Fiction International, and The St. Petersburg Review, among others. His story “Nightblooming” appeared in the summer 2009 issue of The Paris Review. Hosted by Paris Review Editor Christopher Cox.

R. Dwayne Betts, Raina Leon, and January Gill O’Neil
R. Dwayne Betts is the author of A Question of Freedom: A Memoir of Learning, Survival, and Coming of Age in Prison. His collection of poems, Shahid Reads His Own Palm, will be published this year. Raina Leon’s first collection of poetry, Canticle of Idols, was a finalist for the Cave Canem First Book Poetry Prize. January Gill O’Neil is the author of Underlife, a collection of poems. The event is co-sponsored by Cave Canem, a Brooklyn-based non-profit that aims to cultivate the artistic and professional growth of African American poets.
