The Second Avenue Dance Company/2010 (SADC) will present its spring concert series March 31- April 5 and feature the work of four noted guest choreographers— Diane Coburn Bruning, Alwin Nikolais, Stacy Spence, and Doug Varone. The series will also include work in rotating repertory by five student choreographers (four dances of which one is a co-choreographed duet).

The New York University Creative Writing Program’s Spring 2010 Reading Series continues in April with events featuring André Aciman (April 1) and Tom Perrotta (April 23). Events are held in the program’s Greenwich Village home, the Lillian Vernon Creative Writers House at 58 W. 10th Street, unless otherwise noted. UC San Diego, NYU, & University of Illinois Libraries to Collaborate on Next-Generation Archival ManagEment Tool

The University of California, San Diego; New York University; and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Libraries are teaming up to develop a next-generation archival management tool, thanks to a grant in the amount of $539,000 from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
Lalia Rach, NYU Tisch Center Divisional Dean, to Step Down and Become Full-Time Faculty at the End of Academic Year

Lalia Rach, divisional dean and HVS professor of the NYU Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management, will step down from the dean’s role at the end of the 2009-10 academic year and return to teaching full-time, conducting research, and mentoring students at the Tisch Center.
