The New York University Creative Writing Program’s Fall 2010 Reading Series commences in September with events featuring author Jonathan Safran Foer (September 16) and Paris Review Editor Lorin Stein (September 23). All events are held in the program’s Greenwich Village home, the Lillian Vernon Creative Writers House at 58 W. 10th Street, unless otherwise noted. Poetry Reading: Ken Chen, Gillian Conoley, and Geoffrey Nutter

Ken Chen’s debut book of poems, Juvenilia, won the 2009 Yale Younger Poets Prize. Gillian Conoley is the author of numerous collections of poetry, including The Plot Genie (Omnidawn, 2009).  Geoffrey Nutter’s most recent collection is Christopher Sunset (Wave Books, 2010). Hosted by poet and NYU faculty member Matthew Rohrer.

The New Salon: Poets in Conversation

Matthew Zapruder

Come on All You Ghosts (Copper Canyon Press, September 2010) is Matthew Zapruder’s third collection of poems. Zapruder will be in conversation with Deborah Landau, director of NYU’s Creative Writing Program. The event is co-sponsored with the Poetry Society of America.
