NYU Wagner and New York University’s Division of Student Affairs will advance the critically important discussion of rebuilding earthquake-devastated Haiti at a public forum Monday, April 19 – with an eye toward ways to address the issue in an ongoing way and over the long term.

NYU Wagner and New York University’s Division of Student Affairs will advance the critically important public discussion of rebuilding earthquake-devastated Haiti at a public forum on Monday, April 19 – with an eye toward understanding ways to address the issue in an ongoing way and over the long term.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, the forum will explore policy considerations and possibilities for sustainable development, with particular focus on housing, infrastructure, and education systems.

The participants will include:

·         Carey Shea, Executive Director of Project Home Again in New Orleans

·         Monika Kalra Varma, Director of the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Human Rights

·         Garry Pierre-Pierre, Editor and Publisher of the Haitian Times and community activist

·         Ingrid Gould Ellen, NYU Wagner Professor of Public Policy and Urban Planning (moderator).

The Wagner School is located on the 2nd Floor of the historic Puck Building at 295 Lafayette Street (@Houston), New York, N.Y. A reception and fund-raising raffle sponsored by the Wagner Volunteer Corps will follow the panel discussion.
