A series of three poetry readings will be hosted this spring by New York Universitys King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center, 53 Washington Square South. The readings are free and open to the public. For more information, call 212.998.3650 or visit www.nyu.edu/kjc.
- On Thursday, February 19, at 7 p.m., two poets from Valencia, Spain will be featured: Joan Navarro and Anna Montero. The poets will be introduced by Mary Ann Newman, director of NYUs Catalan Center. The reading will be in Catalan and Spanish and is co-sponsored by The Catalan Center and Institut Ramon Llull.
- On Thursday, March 12, at 7 p.m., two Mexican American poets will read: Rocío Cerón and Rodrigo Toscano. This will be a bilingual reading in Spanish and English and is co-sponsored by the Mexican Cultural Institute.
- On Thursday, April 2, the Uruguayan poets Silvia Guerra and Eduardo Espina will be featured. The reading takes place in Spanish.
This series is curated by Lila Zemborain, clinical professor in the NYU Department of Spanish and Portuguese Languages and Literatures.
