Move Over, Mrs. Markham, written by Ray Cooney and John Chapman, and directed by Erich Rettstadt, will run for two nights, April 1 & 2, the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, 566 LaGuardia Place. Curtain is 8pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students with valid ID. For more information, call 212.352.3101; or visit skirballcenter.nyu.edu.
The mission of TNT is to provide highly motivated NYU students the opportunity to participate in drama productions on a professional level, with the focus on collaboration, cooperation, and high production values. Rettstadt, a sophomore from Petoskey, Michigan in NYUs Kanbar Institute of Film and Television at the Tisch School, is also its founder. The play is a lighthearted look at marital mischief and a salute to just plain fun, said Rettstadt. It is filled with mix-ups, misunderstandings, and a ménage of manipulative movers and shakers.
Move Over, Mrs. Markham is produced, directed, and performed entirely by NYU undergraduate students from the Tisch School of the Arts, College of Arts and Science, Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development, Leonard N. Stern School of Business, and Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
Cast members are: Eric Austin, Mikey Beddome, Grayson Brannen, Michael Brick, Charnele Crick, Bryce Francis, Melissa Klein, Sarah Naughton, and Siobhan Stevenson. The production team includes: Lauren Brady, producer; Carolyn Cutillo, dramaturge; Sarah Sellman and Jessica Kris, assistant directors; Nick Lazzaro, technical director; Matt Mark, set design; Sara Ryer, costumes; Avery Lewis, lighting; Reece Nunez, sound; and Itunu Balogun, stage manager.
TNTs faculty advisor is Denny Lawrence, associate professor and academic director in the Kanbar Institute of Film & Television, Undergraduate Division, at the Tisch School of the Arts.
