New York University’s Department of Dance in the Tisch School of the Arts (Tisch Dance) will present the works of its alumni choreographers in a special one-night-only concert on Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, NYU. Entitled Past/Forward 2010: A Tisch Dance Alumni Celebration, the event will feature works by Monica Bill Barnes, Elizabeth Beres and Elliott Reiland, Carolyn Dorfman, Kun-Yang Lin, John-Mark Owen Trebien Pollard, and Stacy Spence.

New York University’s Department of Dance in the Tisch School of the Arts (Tisch Dance) will present the works of its alumni choreographers in a special one-night-only concert on Friday, January 29, 2010 at the Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, NYU. Entitled Past/Forward 2010: A Tisch Dance Alumni Celebration, the event will feature works by Monica Bill Barnes, Elizabeth Beres and Elliott Reiland, Carolyn Dorfman, Kun-Yang Lin, John-Mark Owen Trebien Pollard, and Stacy Spence.

Past/Forward 2010, co-produced by Tisch Dance and NYU Skirball Center, is one in a series of programs that present the work of Tisch Dance alumni throughout the year. The featured alumni range from newly graduated and emerging choreographers to established choreographers who are heading their own companies and presenting work, both nationally and internationally. The concert will also showcase a range of choreographic styles, including contemporary Pointe, post modern, dance theatre, and contemporary modern.

Past/Forward 2010 will take place for one-night only on January 29, 2010. Curtain is at 8 p.m. Admission is $25. Proceeds from the concert will be used to support future presentations which can showcase the talents of Tisch Dance alumni. Performances will take place at NYU Skirball Center, located at 566 LaGuardia Place (at Washington Square South).
