On Friday, April 24, 2009, the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University will present a daylong conference entitled “President Barack Obama’s First 100 days - Implications for Urban America” with New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine, Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter, White House economic advisor Jason Furman, Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, political consultant Bob Shrum and other experts.
The conference will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 2:30 p.m. It will be held at the Fifth Avenue Ballroom, 24 Fifth Avenue, New York, N.Y.
Schedule for day:
- 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.: Breakfast conversation with New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine and NBC network correspondent Andrea Mitchell.
- 9:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Panel discussions featuring National Economic Council Deputy Director Jason Furman, Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter, NYU Wagner Professor of Public Service Paul Light, and New York Times political correspondent Adam Nagourney.
- 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Historian Doris Kearns Goodwin and NYU Wagner Senior Fellow and Democratic political consultant Bob Shrum.
