On Thursday, April 9, 2009, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m., NYU School of Laws Center on Law and Security will host an open forum, Making the National Security System Work, to discuss issues raised by its latest report, Reforming the Culture of National Security: Vision, Clarity and Accountability. The report, a result of a working group at the Center sponsored by the Markle Foundation, provides recommendations for cultural - not structural - reform of the national security establishment to provide effective assessment of and response to evolving, cross-cutting, and interrelated threats. The full report may be found at http://www.lawandsecurity.org
The forum will take place at NYU School of Law, Greenberg Lounge, Vanderbilt Hall, 40 Washington Square South (between Sullivan and Macdougal Streets). The event is free and open to the public. To make a press reservation, please call 212.992.8854 or e-mail CLS@exchange.law.nyu.edu.
