Fri., Sept. 26, 7 p.m. Special guest Joanna Scott is the author of seven novels, including Liberation, Tourmaline, and Arrogance, and two collections of short fiction, Various Antidotes and Everybody Loves Somebody. She is a MacArthur Fellow, and her books have been finalists for the Pulitzer Prize, the PEN-Faulkner, and the LA Times Book Award.

Fri., Oct. 31, 7 p.m. Special guest Steve Almond is the author of two story collections, My Life in Heavy Metal and The Evil B.B. Chow, the novel Which Brings Me to You (with Julianna Baggott), and the non-fiction book Candyfreak. His latest work is a collection of essays, (Not That You Asked).

Fri., Nov. 14, 7 p.m. Special guest Aimee Nezhukumatathil, born in Chicago to a Filipina mother and a South Indian father, is the author of At the Drive-In Volcano, winner of the Balcones Prize, and Miracle Fruit, recipient of Foreword Magazine’s Poetry Book of the Year Award and co-winner of the Global Filipino Literary Award.

Fri., Dec. 5, 7 p.m. Special guest Edward Hirsch has written seven books of poems, including Wild Gratitude, which won the National Book Critics Circle Award, and most recently, Special Orders. He is the author of four books of prose, including How to Read a Poem and Fall in Love with Poetry, a national bestseller.
