Join the noted Democratic strategist Bob Shrum and other political experts for a discussion of what to expect on Election Night - on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, at New York University’s Tishman Auditorium, 40 Washington Square South, Manhattan.

The dialogue, “Election 2008: One Week and Counting….,” is sponsored by the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University, where Shrum is a Senior Fellow. It will run from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Shrum will be joined by Doug Schoen, the pollster and political consultant, and Rogan Kersh, NYU Wagner’s Associate Dean for Academic Affair and author of the book “Dreams of a More Perfect Union.”

The discussion will address several pressing questions. How are the “battleground states” breaking for Obama or McCain, one week out? Whose campaign strategy has been best suited for the unusual twists and turns of Campaign ‘08, especially the current economic meltdown? Can poll predictions be trusted, given the so-called “Bradley Effect?” What implications would a narrow victory by either candidate have for a new administration’s ability to govern amid troubled economic times? Come with your questions and comments, as the NYU & greater NYC community gathers to discuss and debate the impending presidential election.
