It includes his recollections of the seven years in which he held that office, which were marked by Italy’s presence in the U.N. Security Council (1995-96), the end of Boutro Ghali’s term, the election of Kofi Annan, the Italian chairmanship of Ecosoc, and the debate on the reform of the Security Council.
