Alvin Chang and Adam Playford, undergraduates in NYUs Gallatin School of Individualized Study and editors at NYUs student paper, Washington Square News, have been named to the inaugural UWIRE 100, which honors the nations top collegiate journalists.
Chang, a Washington Square News columnist and its associate editor, and Playford, the papers editor-in-chief, were selected from more than 500 nominations submitted by students and educators at 132 schools. A UWIRE panel evaluated each candidate based on demonstrated excellence in a field of collegiate journalism.
