“Green Apple Move Out” Collection Drive Organized During Annual Dorm Move-Out, May 17
New York University’s Sustainability Task Force has sponsored the inaugural Green Apple Move Out collection project for NYU Residence Halls. Students moving out this spring will be able to drop off their unwanted and gently used items and non-perishable food in designated locations for collection and donation to local non-profit organizations.
“Everyone at NYU is excited about the ‘Move Out,’ as it is a win-win-win: local charities get usable items, NYU reduces its waste, and participating students are given the opportunity to do the right thing,” says Jennie Tichenor, the Move Out’s coordinator.
