The award-winning journalist, filmmaker and human rights activist Irshad Manji has received death threats and distinctions for her internationally best-selling book, The Trouble with Islam Today: A Muslim’s Call for Reform in Her Faith. As founding director of the Moral Courage Project at NYU Wagner’s Research Center for Leadership in Action, Irshad’s mission is to develop leaders who will challenge political correctness, self-censorship and intellectual conformity.

The networking reception will take place from 6:00-6:45 p.m., followed by Irshad Manji’s lecture, Q&A and book-signing, 6:45-8:00 p.m.
