Fact or fiction? Real or fake? The 2008 “Documenta Spain” film series, presented by New York University’s King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center (53 Washington Square South), challenges the conception of reality and fiction. Fictional films that use documentary techniques, and documentaries that use traditional narrative fiction to portray the world we live in are featured. The series is curated by Marta Sanchez from Pragda International. All screenings are free, open to the public, and have English subtitles. Films are shown on Tuesdays, at 7:15 p.m., beginning on February 5. For further information on the films, call 212.998.3650 or visit www.nyu.edu/kjc.
All films will be introduced by María de Mar Gómez and Patricia López from the NYU Department of Spanish and Portuguese.
