New York University will stage a production of Stephen Sondheims A Little Night Music, September 28-30 and October 4-7, at NYUs Frederick Loewe Theatre (35 W. 4th St., between Greene St. and Washington Sq. East). Directed by William Wesbrooks, with music direction by Michael Ricciardone, the production features undergraduate and graduate students from the Program in Vocal Performance. The Program in Vocal Performance offers undergraduate and graduate students music-based training for careers in music theatre performance. Housed within the Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, the program offers performance opportunities in fully staged productions under the guidance of professional directors, choreographers, conductors, musical directors, and designers.
