New York University will host a lecture, “Germ Cells are Forever,” to be delivered by Ruth Lehmann, a professor of developmental genetics at NYU’s School of Medicine, on Tues., May 22, 7 p.m. at NYU’s Jurow Lecture Hall (Silver Center, 100 Washington Square East at Washington Place).

Lehmann is an investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and co-coordinates the Developmental Genetics Program at NYU’s Skirball Institute for Biomolecular Medicine. Lehmann is also the director of NYU’s developmental genetics graduate program, which is part of the Sackler Graduate Program of the NYU School of Medicine and the doctoral program of the NYU Biology Department.

Lehmann’s lecture will discuss her current research, which explores the potential of germ cells in stem cell research.
