  • WHAT: A benefit performance of the cult favorite The Rocky Horror Tribute Show. Proceeds from the event will fund research for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer affiliates in New York City and Louisville, Kentucky. The cast will include: Kate Reinders (Broadway: Gypsy, Good Vibrations, Wicked), Michael Formika Jones (New York City nightlife legend), and NYU alumnus Kevin Cahoon (Broadway: The Rocky Horror Show, The Lion King, The Who’s Tommy) among others.
  • WHO: Rachel Helson, a drama student at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and Acting for a Cure will stage the production. This will be the third year that Helson’s production company, Acting for a Cure, has produced The Rocky Horror Show as a benefit. Her 2004 and 2005 productions in her hometown of Louisville, KY raised $50,000 for the Komen Foundation. Helson will be the first individual to produce “Rocky” on a Broadway stage other than the creator, Richard O’ Brien, who donated the royalty rights for the April benefit show to Acting for a Cure.
