Born in Durban, South Africa, de Wet has had one-man exhibitions in Paris, Turin, Milan, and Brussels. In 1983, he purchased Wenlock Abbey, located in Shropshire, England, and focused on restoring the structure and recreating its interior. The lecture will center on de Wet’s art in the context of his efforts to restore the centuries-old abbey.
