Helio Fred Garcia, adjunct professor of crisis communications and corporate reputation in the graduate public relations department at New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies, is available to speak with reporters about the ongoing “JetBlue crisis.”
In particular, Garcia can speak to these issues:
- What is the measurable impact on JetBlue’s long-term reputation?
- How does JetBlue restore its reputation, in the face of ongoing negative press coverage, and in doing so restore its financial viability - is “JetBlue the next Value Jet or can it continue its growth into a major air carrier”?
- What has JetBlue done right and wrong so far? Is it too little, too late?
- What are the lessons for other corporations from the JetBlue situation?
Garcia is the president and founder of the crisis management firm Logos Consulting Group, and is the executive director of the Logos Institute for Crisis Management & Executive Leadership (www.logosinstitute.net). Before that, he headed the crisis practice at consulting firm Clark & Weinstock. Garcia is the co-author of a new book, Reputation Management: The Key to Successful Public Relations and Corporate Communication (Routledge 2006), and author of Crisis Communications (AAAA Publications 1999).
