Conniff, Billboard’s first female and youngest editor, has been responsible for making the publication a modern media corporation and has expanded the magazine’s audience with a contemporary and artistic approach to music journalism. Last year she was responsible for the first major redesign of Billboard since the 1960s, as well as a continued effort to develop digital strategy for the music industry bible.

Conniff was recently named to the prestigious 40-UNDER-40 list by Crain’s New York Business in its “New York Rising Star” segment. The magazine also noted that Billboard newsstand sales jumped 10 percent last year and ad pages climbed 22 percent.

Debbie Harry, as the lead singer of Blondie, was inducted into the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. Debbie and the band emerged as the legendary pop icons of New York¹s new wave punk scene by defying categorization. They were the first from that scene with a #1 single, a groundbreaking blend of punk and disco (“Heart of Glass”) and the first to top the charts with both a rap song (“Rapture”) and a reggae inspired track (“The Tide is High”). Debbie has also appeared in numerous films and plays. She is currently a spokesperson for the MAC Viva Glam campaign.
