Lesley Stahl of CBS’s 60 Minutes will moderate NYU Wagner Event
The acclaimed international journalist, activist and author Irshad Manji visits the historic Puck Building’s Skylight Ballroom (295 Lafayette Street in Manhattan) on Monday, March 5th at 5:00 p.m. to discuss the challenges facing Muslim women in the West. Lesley Stahl of CBS’s “60 Minutes” will moderate the event, sponsored by the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University.
Manji will preview and discuss the upcoming PBS documentary “Faith without Fear,” which is based upon her book The Trouble with Islam Today, a national bestseller that has been published in 25 languages. The film addresses the challenges of being a progressive Muslim woman and the need to voice her opinion in the face of opposition that can be fierce.
