An exhibition of approximately 60 works created by the faculty and staff of the Department of Photography and Imaging in the Kanbar Institute of Film and Television at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts went on view September 5, 2006. The show comprises a wide range of perspectives and media, including but not limited to traditional black-and-white and color photographs, publications, net art, video, painting, and multi-media installations. The exhibition explores contemporary images and themes related to family, abstract nature, fantasy, inter-plays with light, childhood memory and journalistic views of Hurricane Katrina.
Entitled, Faculty & Staff Exhibition 2006-2007, the show will remain on view through October 7, 2006 in the Gulf and Western Gallery (main floor, rear of lobby) and the Department of Photography & Imaging Gallery (8th floor), located at 721 Broadway. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays. The exhibition is open to the public and admission is free. A photo ID is required when entering the building.
