Marcelo Suarez-Orozco, the Courtney Sale Ross University Professor of Globalization and Education and co-director of the Steinhardt School’s Institute for Globalization and Education in Metropolitan Settings, received the Order of the Mexican Aztec Eagle in an official ceremony at the Mexican consulate on Sept. 22. The honor is the highest decoration awarded by the Mexican government on behalf of the Mexican people to foreign nationals. It is given for extraordinary contributions to the understanding of and service to Mexico.
