Students at the fifth annual Dean’s Cup basketball game between Columbia Law School and New York University School of Law School will take their academic rivalry onto the court on Thursday April 6th at 8:00 p.m. at Levien Gymnasium on the Columbia University campus. The event is expected to raise up to $80,000 for public-interest law projects and community service organizations at both universities. The competition includes a student game and a half-time faculty game.

The annual co-ed basketball game was founded by students from both schools and will be sponsored by LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & McRae LLP (Champion Sponsor), as well as Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP, Clifford Chance US LLP, Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, Proskauer Rose LLP, Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, and Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP (All-Star Sponsors). Tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for students, T-shirts are $15.

  • 6:00 Cocktail Reception: Low Library, Columbia University campus, Join students, faculty, donors, and alumni for pre-game cocktails and subs.
  • 8:00 Tip-Off: Levien Gymnasium, Columbia University campus. The Champion-level donors will present their contribution to the Deans before Columbia and NYU battle for bragging rights. And don’t miss the highlight of the night - the faculty half-time game.
  • After Party: The West End, 2911 Broadway at 114th Street.
