“Rock Bottom: Gay Men & Meth,” which premieres tonight, June 6, and tomorrow, June 7, features the research of New York University Applied Psychology Professor Perry Halkitis, who directs NYU’s Center for Health, Identity, Behavior & Prevention Studies (CHIBPS). “Rock Bottom follows the journeys of seven gay men struggling with meth addiction and recovery against a backdrop of an emerging second wave of HIV infection (65 min., Jay Corcoran, director/producer; Colin Weil, producer). The documentary is part of NewFest 2006: The 18th New York Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Film Festival.
