Two-day Graduate Student Conference to Draw Over a Dozen Universities Exploring the Role of Education in Immigration, Cross-Cultural Study, and Conflict Resolution
- WHAT: “States of Mind: Creating & Transcending Borders Through Education”
Presented by New York University’s International Education Program in the Steinhardt School from March 2-3, the conference will convene scholars across multiple disciplines and nationalities to promote an exchange of minds on topics related to global education. Keynote speakers include Dr. Allan E. Goodman, president and CEO, Institute of International Education (IIE), and Sara Judge McCalpin, president, China Institute. The event is free and open to the public.

Along with scholars from NYU, presenters include graduate students from Columbia University, Harvard University, the University of Pennsylvania, McGill University, the University of Toronto, Florida State, Indiana University, the University of Western Canada, the University of York (England), Northwestern, the University of Victoria (Canada), the University of Michigan, CUNY Graduate Center, and International Christian University (Japan).
