As you may have seen in the news recently, there is currently an outbreak of mumps in the United States, primarily affecting young adults and college students.
While the current outbreak of mumps has been concentrated in the Midwestern states, the Student Health Center continues to monitor information from local and national health organizations, and recommends that all students check their immunization records to ensure that they have received the appropriate vaccinations.
If you have questions regarding your immunity to mumps you can call the Student Health Center at 212.443.1199 (3.1199 from any campus phone).
The SHC will continues to monitor this, and all other public health issues, that may affect the NYU Community.
