The work of 20 talented designers in set, costume, lighting, and film from the Department of Design for Stage and Film at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts will be featured in the exhibition Design Show 2006. The annual event, organized by the Department, benefits hundreds of producers, directors, established designers, and other entertainment-industry professionals who come to view the exhibit looking for new talent.

Design Show 2006 will open May 3 and remain on view through May 10. The show is open daily from noon to 8 p.m. Admission is free. The exhibition will showcase the work of some of the best young talent emerging in the professional design field. It comprises hundreds of designs for realized productions and class projects for the theatre, film, and dance in a wide variety of media, including scale models, costumes, production photographs, and sketches.

The designers are all members of the 2006 graduating class and have completed the three-year M.F.A. program. They are: Kaibrina Sky Buck, Amanda Bujak, Jennifer de Fouchier, Veronica Ferré, Lily Fossner, Tom Gleeson, Sarah Greene, Paul Hackenmueller, Brian Ireland, Corinne Merrell, Assel Nakupova, Amanda Rehbein, Chris Rumery, Bradley Schmidt, Dans Maree Sheehan, Sara Jean Tosetti, Jessica J. Trejos, Chisato Uno, Court Watson, and Christopher Weston.
