New York University’s King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center will host a dialogue, “Security and Defense: An Examination of Security and Defense Issues in the New Geopolitical Arena,” on Mon., Oct. 3, 6-8 p.m., at NYU’s Silver Center for Arts and Science (Hemmerdinger Hall, 100 Washington Square East). The panel includes the following: José Bono, minister of defense, Spain; José Miguel Insulza, secretary general of the OAS; and Bob Kerrey, president, the New School University, former U.S. senator, 9/11 Commission member. The dialogue will be moderated by Spanish Judge Baltasar Garzón, who specializes on investigations on terrorism, crimes against humanity, and international organized crime.
The event will be in Spanish and English with simultaneous English translation.
