New York University’s Center on Law and Security will host “Anti-Terror Laws and Civil Liberties: New York, London, Madrid,” on Wed., Oct. 19th, 6-8 p.m. at NYU’s Lipton Hall, 110 West 3rd St. (betw. MacDougal and Sullivan Sts.). The panel will feature the following: Michael Sheehan, deputy commissioner of counter-terrorism for the NYPD; Keith Weston, detective chief superintendent, Metropolitan Police Anti Terrorist Branch, New Scotland Yard; and Judge Baltasar Garzón, a fellow in residence at the Center on Law and Security and the Investigating Magistrate in Madrid who specializes on investigations on terrorism, crimes against humanity, and international organized crime. Karen Greenberg, executive director of the Center on Law and Security, will moderate the session.
