New York University’s Urban Studies Seminar will host a panel on “Mega Cities” on Wed., April 6, 6-8 p.m. in NYU’s Kimball Lounge (246 Greene St., betw. Washington and Waverly). Speakers include the following: Suketu Mehta, whose new book Maximum City is about Bombay; NYU Professor Andrew Ross, author of a forthcoming book on Shanghai; and sociologist Janet Abu-Lughod, author of over 100 articles and 12 books, including Cairo: 1001 Years of the City Victorious. Simone Buechler, an assistant professor in NYU’s Metropolitan Studies program, will moderate the discussion.
