A staged reading of New York University Professor Carol Gilligan’s adaptation of THE SCARLET LETTER will be presented on Thursday, January 27th at 7:30 PM at the Judson Memorial Church, 55 Washington Square South in Greenwich Village.
Gilligan, a renowned psychologist whose groundbreaking research on gender and human development resulted in a shift in psychological inquiry and the human sciences, joined New York University in 2002.
The reading will star Marisa Tomei as Hester Prynne. Normi Noel directs.
Admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 7 PM.
