WHAT: New York University will host its 17th annual VIP (Volunteer In the Park) Day, with scores of NYU volunteers joining local school children to plant flowers, paint benches and fences, and spruce up Washington Square Park

PLANNING BRIEF
This event offers a nice springtime photo op. Young children will be planting flowers with Parks Department employees. Student and staff volunteers from the University will be cleaning the park, painting benches and fences. There will be excellent visuals and activities for both print and broadcast media.
