A poetry and fiction reading to benefit Washington Square, the biannual literary journal published by New York University’s Creative Writing Program, will be held at NYU on Friday, April 29, at 7 p.m., in the first floor lounge of 19 University Place. The event celebrates the upcoming release of the Summer 2005 issue of Washignton Square. The new issue includes the work of Elisa Albert, Rafael Campo, Marian Crotty, Brenda Hillman, Tim Mullaney, D.A. Powell, and Tom Sleigh.
Elisa Albert’s forthcoming anthology, The Modern Jewish Girl’s Guide to Guilt, will be published by Dutton in August 2005.
Eric Anderson’s illustrations have appeared in Time magazine, the New York Observer, and in the film and DVD packaging for The Royal Tenebaums.
Jen Tynes studies poetry at Brown University and was recently nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
